Zodiac

Zodiac of Adylheim

Each of the twelve months of the Adylheim calendar are known to have constellations associated with them, where particular arrangements of stars will hide behind the sun for that entire month. Thus, these constellations are not to be seen in the night sky during their month, and rendered invisible by the sun’s light during the day. The constellation behind the sun on a given month, is said to be the sun sign (or true sign) of any individual who is born on that month. These individuals are often thought or imagined to be born with certain traits in common.

Geography and Psychetecture of Spire City

The Geography of Spire City

History

To understand the nature of Spire City, one must understand its history. Like most of the major cities in Adylheim its history stretches well beyond that of the Empire, it is one event which defines the city more than any other though. During the Mage Wars in 2954 as the Eiderdown campaign was drawing to a close the city was one of those who suffered through a serious battle. Much of the city was destroyed in the fighting and the fires and a particularly nasty storm took care of what was left.

Guides

The Guides

The Guides are not an organisation by any means, they have no common code and serve no ideal or god in particular. Still, there are guides to be find all across Adylheim, serving in their own little way to ensure that travellers get safely from one place to another. And, of course, getting paid in the bargain.

Political System of Arameia

The Political System of Arameia

The Church of Luxor

The Church seized power in 3899, seizing power from the Emperor and quickly started to establish themselves as a power base independent from the nobility. The nobility of Arameia, at the time, had a well deserved reputation for being corrupt and taking advantage of the populace. The Church were greeted as saviours from a corrupt system, but it did not take long before the Church became just as corrupt as the system it replaced.

Priesthood of the Namer

The Priesthood of the Namer

The Priesthood of the Namer is a small sect located primarily in Aram, although a few other small temples can be found elsewhere. They're relatively few in number and are largely a monastic order, having little to do with outsiders. While magi will sometimes go to them for aid, they generally refuse to have anything to do with wizards and their kin. For their part the priests of the Namer are committed to staving off the apocalypse.
