Sad Galdaro

So...don't really do blogs usually, but talking about things is sometimes supposed to help so...you get a bloggy thing.

Anyways, yesterday morning my dog Rosie passed away. Sad She had been with us for about fifteen nears, more than half my life really. We were all there and I'm fairly sure she knew she was loved but it doesn't really make it easier. She was family, and now she is gone. Thats still a concept I'm having a difficult time with. We knew it was only a matter of time.

Change

Change we can believe in!

Well, kind of. I try very hard not to get set into certain frames of mind, things have to be done this way, have to be done that way, and so on. If I, or hell, someone else, can find a better way of doing things, I always try to be open to changing things. I used to play in a pbp where the community was fairly resistant to change, not without cause, mind you.

How many people do you think I've killed?

It's a simple question, really. It lies at the root of Stranger than Fiction, a rather interesting movie, once you scratch the surface a little. The author in the movie can get away with 8. Me? I don't know. Hundreds maybe.

The thing is, the moral of Stranger than Fiction is relatively uninteresting and runs something along the lines of "if you move outside your comfort zone, good things may happen to you, and if you're a good person, you're going to end up happy." It's fairly standard Hollywood fare in that respect.

Why Purpose Itself Needs Us

Destroying the Universe 101:

Purpose needs us because existence has no purpose; only people do. Although people are a part of existence, so in a way the universe does have purpose. However, only certain parts of it do and it's really more of a chance alignment of the stars than anything. The point is that the reason we struggle so much to find meaning in the universe is because there is none. We just pretend there is, and there's nothing wrong with that. We have to pretend; it's simply impossible not to.

Moonlight Beauty

Any creature finds the moon mystical in his or her own way.
It may give them a sense of fear, especially when it is full. This silver disk has been part of many rituals performed in the land. They chant and sing to help bring out the spirits. And only with the moon they may do this for no other magical forces bring out creatures of the darkness.
Then there comes those stories of the moon goddess helping out young lovers lighting their path through the forests to reach each others arms. Faeries also come along to bask it the light.
